When we attend events we like to be fully prepared by crafting preparatory experiences of our space. The TRB is no such exception, and to help us understand the best use of our space and location in the exhibit hall, as well as how to align our experiences to improve flow, visibility, and viewer engagement we recreated the Empathy Intersection space in 3D.
In the above image, you can see how all of the empathy based experience areas will be aligned, and the journey options visitors will have.
This next image shows a closer view of how we expect to our space to be utilized. Visitors will enter through the main area and be greeted, then they'll take the crosswalk path and see the truck visibility experience on their right, or our experiences on the left.
Our experiences comprise a virtual driving empathy emulator, where car drivers will experience the differences and nuances of driving a bus vs a car. Next to that are a series of other experiences including a quiz, a bus cabin that can be experienced in VR or AR, and a mixed reality vehicle inspection experience designed to show how much more you need for your CDL than you do for a typical driving license.
