Empathy at the Intersection, a project with the Connecticut Department of Transportation, has received a 2025 AASHTO President’s Transportation Award. The immersive experience combines behavioral research and storytelling to elevate lived experiences in roadway safety, demonstrating how empathy-driven design can inform better transportation decisions nationwide.

In 2025, Drivers of Tomorrow pushed driver training forward with digital bus twins, immersive VR pre-trip experiences, AI-assisted learning, and high-density pedestrian simulations. From improving CDL pass rates to preparing operators for major events like the FIFA World Cup, this year proved how immersive training creates safer, more confident drivers.

Seattle is preparing for the FIFA World Cup, and we’re developing special driver-training modules to simulate the massive crowds expected across the city.
